BREAKING: Wadiyan Pirates Attack Fishing Boats off of El-Jirwa, Jordan

El-Jirwa (JORDAN) - At 10:00 AM, STZ-5, on June 27, 2016, a group of armed pirates originating from the Republic of Wadiya attacked three different fishing craft being operated by Jordanians. No motive has been known, but authorities suspect it may have been a mistake on the part of the pirates, who may have thought they were part of the local harbor patrol. No goods were taken or stolen, but 8 individuals were killed and ten were badly wounded.

In response to this attack, Prime Minister Bashar Ahmadinejad of the Sultanate of the Jordan issued the following statement in the behalf of His Supreme Excellency, the Sultan of the Jordan.:
"Once again, on the behalf of His Most Holy and Supreme Excellency, the chosen of Allah, I condemn this act of wanton violence by this vicious fiends originating from the Republic of Wadiya. We call upon the government of Wadiya to bring an end to these attacks and to bring these individuals to justice."
